HelpWell

Building Stronger Communities Through Local Support

Starting in West Wales and designed to grow, HelpWell connects people who need support with people who are willing to help through volunteering, wellbeing, and meaningful local action.

The Mission

Why HelpWell Exists

HelpWell was created to connect people who need support with people who are willing to help. Starting in West Wales, UK, HelpWell encourages volunteering, practical support, wellbeing, community action and meaningful human connection.

Community Support

Connecting individuals with their neighbours, volunteers, and local organisations who can offer practical help.

Volunteering

Making it easy for people to give their time, skills, and experience in ways that matter to their local area.

Local Action

Focusing on what happens in your community -- real people, real needs, real connections that make a difference.

Wellbeing

Supporting mental health and personal wellbeing by encouraging meaningful participation in community life.

Human Connection

Reducing isolation and building trust between people through shared purpose and practical togetherness.

HelpWell is a community support platform designed to help individuals, volunteers, community groups and organisations connect through practical acts of support. It is not a charity directory or a services marketplace. It is a platform built around the idea that communities themselves hold the answers -- they just need the tools to find each other.

On HelpWell, users can:

  • Request help from their local community
  • Offer help, skills, time or experience
  • Discover volunteer opportunities
  • Connect with local people and organisations
  • Share community support opportunities
  • Build stronger local networks
  • Encourage wellbeing through meaningful action

Launch Area

Starting in West Wales

HelpWell is beginning in three counties across West Wales, United Kingdom. These communities -- with their strong traditions of local support and volunteerism -- are the foundation from which HelpWell will grow.

The aim is to grow gradually while keeping a community-first approach -- building genuine connections and understanding what each community truly needs before expanding further.

HelpWell aims to expand gradually beyond West Wales while maintaining its core mission of strengthening communities through volunteering, support, wellbeing and local action.

Ceredigion

University towns, coastal villages, and rural farming communities united by shared landscapes and strong Welsh identity.

Pembrokeshire

A coastal county with tight-knit towns, seasonal tourism, and communities that rely on neighbourly support.

Carmarthenshire

Market towns and rural valleys with deep-rooted community traditions and a proud heritage of mutual aid.
